Frequently Asked Questions - Paralegal Services

What is a freelance paralegal?

A freelance paralegal is retained on an as-needed basis by many supervising attorneys. Freelance paralegals are educated and qualified to perform work just the same as traditionally employed paralegals in your office. My freelance paralegal business operates as a 1099 sub-contractor. This means no office overhead for your law firm. You only pay for the services needed.

How do I schedule an appointment with you to discuss my needs?

You may call me at 717-269-7545 or schedule a time for us to meet here.

What do you charge?

My hourly rate is currently $65.00, or we can discuss billing at a flat rate per project. All charges will be contingent upon the scope of your project. There is no project too small or too large.

How long will it take you to complete a project?

Every project is unique, and the time required will depend on the nature of the project. Deadlines will be discussed at the time of my acceptance of the project. All projects are completed in the order received. If a project is deemed an emergency, that project will be given top priority and handled immediately. Additional charges made apply for immediate turnaround.

Do you work in our office?

No, all my services are completed remotely. However, if there is a project that requires me to come to your office, arrangements can be discussed.

What is your availability?

I am always available during regular business hours. Additionally, I always strive to respond promptly to inquiries and requests for assistance.

How do I get projects to you?

I offer the flexibility of communicating securely via email or arranging for pick-up, drop-off, or Federal Express delivery based on your preferences and convenience. I’m here to make your life easier.

How do you ensure confidentiality and security of client Information?

I take confidentiality and security very seriously. I follow strict protocols to safeguard client information, including encryptions, secure file storage and adherence to privacy regulations.
